Ex-Im Bank Staffer to Reach More Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee Small Businesses with Ex-Im Bank Financing Products
WASHINGTON, D.C. — John R. Johnson, a business development officer in the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) Southwest Regional Office in Houston, Tex., will widen access for exporters in Arkansas, Tennessee and Oklahoma to Ex-Im Bank financing products through a refocusing of his areas of responsibility.
He will provide access for exporters in Arkansas, Tennessee and Oklahoma to Ex-Im Bank's product lines including working capital guarantees, export credit insurance, and loan guarantees for foreign buyers of U.S. goods.
Johnson came to the Houston office in 2005 from Ex-Im Bank's Southeast Regional office where his responsibilities included the eastern portion of Tennessee. Before joining Ex-Im Bank, Johnson served as assistant vice president, International Trade Finance, at BOK Financial Corporation. He was responsible for coordinating business development activities, marketing trade services and foreign exchange products for Bank of Oklahoma and Bank of Arkansas.
Johnson is a graduate of Ohio State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Ex-Im Bank this year marks its 72nd year of helping finance the sale of U.S. exports, primarily to emerging markets throughout the world, by providing loan guarantees, export credit insurance, and direct loans. In fiscal year 2005 Ex-Im Bank authorized nearly $14 billion in transactions supporting almost $17.9 billion in U.S. exports. More than $2.6 billion of the authorizations, or 2,617 transactions, directly supported U.S. small businesses as primary exporters.
