JAMES LAMBRIGHT NAMED SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO EX-IM BANK CHAIRMAN AND COORDINATOR OF THE BANK'S SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA INITIATIVE
James H. Lambright, an investment banker and attorney specializing in real estate and venture capital, has been named special assistant to Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) Chairman John E. Robson. In this capacity, Lambright will report to the chairman on a variety of projects and will coordinate Ex-Im Bank's efforts to increase support for U.S. exports to sub-Saharan Africa.
Lambright comes to Ex-Im Bank from Credit Suisse First Boston Corp, Los Angeles, CA, where he was vice president, merchant banking.
Jim's legal and financial expertise will be an asset in numerous Ex-Im Bank programs, including our initiative to help a wider range of U.S. exporters sell their products and services in sub-Saharan Africa markets, Robson said.
Lambright graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics from Stanford University.
Ex-Im Bank is an independent U.S. government agency that assists in financing the export of U.S. goods and services to markets around the world, through export credit insurance, loan guarantees, and direct loans. Ex-Im Bank has supported approximately $42 million in U.S. exports to sub-Saharan Africa so far in Fiscal Year 2001. In fiscal year 2000, Ex-Im Bank helped to finance nearly $15.5 billion of U.S. exports worldwide.
