WASHINGTON - The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) today announced the appointment of ten members to the Chair's Council on China Competition, a subcommittee of EXIM's Advisory Committee. EXIM named Admiral Gary Roughead, U.S. Navy (Ret.) as Chair of the council.

Established as part of the EXIM Advisory Committee, which advises EXIM on its programs and the extent to which the agency provides competitive financing to support American jobs through exports, the Chair's Council on China Competition provides guidance on advancing the comparative leadership of the United States with respect to China and supporting U.S. innovation and employment through competitive export finance.

"I congratulate and welcome the new members of the Chair's Council on China Competition," said Acting EXIM President and Chairman James Burrows. "We have a uniquely qualified group of individuals coming together to advise on EXIM's China and Transformational Exports Program and ensure that we continue to strengthen our efforts to keep U.S. exports globally competitive."

"We live in a consequential and competitive time in which export strategies are going to decide the future," said Admiral Roughead. "I look forward to working with my council colleagues in advancing EXIM's China and Transformational Export Program, which enables the innovation, competence and values of American workers and companies. It's a true privilege to be part of it."
