Biden-Harris Officials, International Business Leaders to Headline EXIM 2021 Virtual Annual Conference, Sept. 21-23
WASHINGTON - The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) today announced the initial line-up of speakers for EXIM's 2021 Virtual Annual Conference that will be held on September 21-23, 2021. This year's speakers feature key Biden-Harris Administration officials, including U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo. They are among the U.S. government, international organization, and banking and business leaders who will address EXIM's online annual conference that is expected to draw more than a thousand attendees from the United States and around the globe.
The focus of this year's conference is "Building Back Together." Speakers will share their insights on how trade, exports, and sound economic policy can help America's economy and communities across the country build back stronger from the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Tuesday, September 21, Commerce Secretary Raimondo will participate in a conversation entitled "Expanding Global Opportunities for American Businesses" to be moderated by Greg Ip, Chief Economics Commentator for The Wall Street Journal. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Adeyemo will participate in a plenary session on Thursday, September 23.

In addition to the plenary sessions, EXIM's 2021 Annual Conference will feature five "tracks" of breakout sessions for attendees to learn more about particular areas of interest: Small Business, Finance, Export-Credit Policy, Climate, and China Competition. EXIM will also offer a virtual "exhibit hall" of government (including EXIM specialists) and private-sector finance and trade representatives who will be available for one-on-one consultations with attendees.
For the first time this year, EXIM's Minority- and Women-Owned Business (MWOB) Division is hosting "B2B Virtual Matchmaking" sessions to align conference attendees with suitable partners, contacts, and resources in key foreign markets. Attendees may participate in strategically matched, pre-scheduled virtual meetings with potential buyers and distributors from around the world.
Throughout the three-day conference, EXIM also will present awards for excellence in exporting and export finance to EXIM's customers and partners in the following categories: Exporter of the Year, Broker of the Year, New Broker of the Year, Regional Export Promotion Program Member of the Year, Lender of the Year, and Deal of the Year.
