The Export Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) announced this week, the departure of Sarah Hildebrand as senior vice president of congressional affairs, to become chief of staff to Congresswoman Jennifer Dunn of the 8th Congressional district in Washington.

Sarah has been an incredibly important member of the Ex-Im Bank team over the past year and a half, said Philip Merrill, chairman of Ex-Im Bank. She coordinated the Bank's reauthorization efforts and the Bank's outreach efforts to Congress and the exporting community. Her work for the Bank and for me has been excellent.

Sarah has made significant accomplishments throughout her career and brings to my office a wealth of knowledge in issue areas such as trade, taxes, and the economy, all of which are important to Washington State, said Congresswoman Dunn.

Prior to joining Ex-Im Bank, Hildebrand was the vice president of government affairs for the American Forest and Paper Association. Earlier in her career, she served as deputy assistant secretary for public liaison at the Department of the Treasury, director of congressional affairs for the International Trade Administration at the Department of Commerce, director of scheduling at the Reagan-Bush '84 campaign, and deputy director of the office of presidential scheduling at the White House.

A graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., she holds a bachelors degree in economics and government. Hildebrand and her husband, Bruce, reside in Alexandria, Va.

Ex-Im Bank is an independent U.S. government agency that helps finance the sale of U.S. exports, primarily to emerging markets throughout the world, by providing guarantees, insurance, and loans. In fiscal year 2002, Ex-Im Bank supported nearly $13 billion of U.S. exports worldwide.
