POLISH DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER, EBRD OFFICIAL, MEMBERS OF CONGRESS TO ADDRESS EX-IM BANK ANNUAL CONFERENCE MAY 2-3 IN WASHINGTON, D.C.
U.S. companies, financiers and foreign dignitaries attending the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) 2002 annual conference at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. May 2-3, 2002, will hear the global trade perspectives of Polish Deputy Prime Minister Marek Belka; Noreen Doyle, first vice president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD); and Reps. John LaFalce of New York (D-29th District), Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick of Michigan (D-15th District), J.C. Watts of Oklahoma (R-4th District), and Jennifer Dunn of Washington (R-8th District). Specialized workshops will brief conference participants on, among other things: the renewable energy world marketplace, financial deals in sub-Saharan Africa and other global regions, recent trends in asset-based lending and more. A trade show will feature some 50 exhibits of U.S export and financing products ranging from medical equipment to credit rating services. Conference press facilities will be set up in the Executive Room of the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
