WASHINGTON – President and Chair of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) on Monday met with Romania’s Minister of Energy, Dr. Virgil-Daniel Popescu and other senior officials from the Romanian government for a discussion on financing for clean energy projects in Romania.

Chair Lewis reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to strengthening energy security with like-minded countries in Eastern Europe. She and Minister Popescu agreed to continue their dialogue on potential projects and ways in which modernization efforts at EXIM can help advance the competitiveness of U.S. exports.
