Export-Import Bank of the United States Chair Reta Jo Lewis Joins U.S. Delegation to COP28; Will Promote Low-Carbon U.S. Export Finance in Dubai
Dubai, U.A.E – Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis will travel to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) December 4-7 as part of the U.S. delegation to the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28). During the conference, Chair Lewis will emphasize EXIM’s commitment to supporting renewable energy and low-carbon U.S. technologies and highlight some of the agency’s key accomplishments over the past year. Chair Lewis will also hold meetings with officials from government and private sector on the sidelines of COP28.
EXIM financing for climate transactions surpassed $950 million in fiscal year 2023, the largest amount the agency has ever authorized in this sector. Chair Lewis will also participate in several public announcements around key EXIM partnerships. More details to come.
