US Export-Import Bank Promotes Low-Cost Financing for Estonian Businesses Vice Chair Jackie M. Clegg To Meet With Officials of Tallinn Central Hospital in Estonia
Tallinn: The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) is working to increase trade between US exporters and Estonian businesses of all sizes by offering competitive, low-cost financing for the purchase of US-made goods and services. Ex-Im Bank Vice Chair Jackie M. Clegg is meeting with high-level business, financial and government leaders in Tallinn this week to promote Ex-Im Bank financing.
On May 31, Clegg was to attend a dinner hosted by Tit Maasik, Managing Director of Instrumentarium Medical, distributor of GE Medical Suppliers in Estonia, and officials of the Tallinn Central Hospital Radiology Center. US exporter interest in selling medical equipment to the hospital has been expressed.
On June 1, Clegg participates in a round-table discussion with the American Chamber of Commerce in Estonia. She also will meet with Agu Remmelg, Director of Estonian Investment Agency, and Signe Ratso, Deputy Chancellor of the Ministry of Economics.
Ex-Im Bank is very interested in developing a long-term trade relationship with businesses and the government of Estonia, Clegg said. Ex-Im Bank provides a win-win financing resource that can help Estonian businesses obtain the quality American-made products they need to build their business and the Estonian economy.
Ex-Im Bank is an independent US government agency that assists in financing the sale of US goods and services to developing markets around the world, through export credit insurance, direct loans, and working capital and other loan guarantees. In fiscal year 1999, Ex-Im Bank supported nearly $17 billion in U.S. exports.
Estonia businesses in the public and private sector interested in purchasing U.S.-made goods and services are eligible for Ex-Im Bank financing
