Scott Allen is currently a private investor / consultant residing in Washington, DC. He has 40 years of experience in emerging markets and international capital finance working for several banks in NY, Tokyo and London. His last position in investment banking was in 2005 as a Managing Director at JP Morgan in London where he managed several different sales teams for credit and structured products. During 2015-2017, he served in a US Senate confirmed position as the US Executive Director to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. He currently serves on several boards and is affiliated with a collection of organizations, including: The Advocacy Group, Atlas-Asia Pacific / Top Oil, Blue Star Families, Council for a Livable World / Center for Arms Control and Non-proliferation, The Defense Language Institute and Sovereign Infrastructure Group (SIG). He has a BA degree in Asian Studies from Sophia University in Tokyo and a MSFS degree in International Business from Georgetown University in Washington. While as a student, he worked on seven different US flag merchant ships for six years during and after the Vietnam War.
