David Rosenblatt

David Rosenblatt is the founder and CEO of the parent company of the first utility scale solar company in the middle east, the Arava Power Company. He was also the co-founder of Gigawatt Global that brought the first utility scale solar fields to Rwanda and other developing nations. David has also been active in wind where he was a founding board member of the first small wind company to offer wind lease programs in the United States. David continues to develop solar fields globally, including in the US where he is currently working on building a 270 MW project in Texas and developing a pipeline of more than a gigawatt. He has recently extended his green efforts and is working with Solutum to help eliminate plastic from the globe using a novel eco-friendly, biodegradable material that dissolves into natural biomass. David brings extensive experience having developed and scaled businesses from startup through IPO and exits in Silicon Valley, Wall Street and Israel across the energy, technology and healthcare industries. Earlier in his career, David was a Managing Director at BlackRock, a co-founder of QuickenLoans (now Rocket Mortgage) at Intuit, and a lawyer leading corporate and project finance transactions with Weil, Gotshal & Manges and what is now Norton Rose. David holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, a JD from Northwestern University Law School, and a BS with honors from Pennsylvania State University.
