Stephanie Deatherage
Deputy Senior Vice President | Policy Analysis and International Relations
Stephanie Deatherage is Deputy Senior Vice President of the Office of Policy Analysis and International Relations (OPAIR) and Acting Vice President of Policy Analysis. Ms. Deatherage started her career in export finance at EXIM Bank in 2008, where she was a Policy Analyst in the International Relations Division. In this capacity, she served as the lead analyst at the OECD for the 2009 Premium and 2011 Aircraft Sector Understanding negotiations. In 2013, Ms. Deatherage moved to the Credit and Political Risk Group at Zurich Insurance, serving first as a Technical Underwriter, focusing on governance, portfolio management and product strategy. From 2017 to 2020, she served as a Senior Underwriter on the Credit and Political Risk Group's Americas Team. Ms. Deatherage returned to EXIM Bank in October 2020 in her current role.
Ms. Deatherage has a Bachelor's degree in Government from Hamilton College and a Master's degree in Global Finance, Trade, and Economic Integration from the University of Denver. Ms. Deatherage also served as a Small Business Development Volunteer in Nicaragua with the United States Peace Corps.
