Tamara Rodriguez

Tamara is the influential co-owner of Island TV (A Fatima Group Company), a Miami based television network with over 25 years of on-air news and entertainment programing in English and Haitian Creole. Island TV boasts a South Florida viewership of over one million households, and access to millions through its diverse digital platforms. Under Tamara’s leadership, Island TV now extends to 15 island markets throughout the Caribbean. Island TV’s programming serves as a platform to educate, inform, and engage Americans of Haitian and Caribbean descent around civic, cultural, and political issues. It is an obligatory destination for all who seek political office, businesses and local institutions reaching out to Haitian Americans.

Tamara, an accountant with over two decades of experience in accounting and finance, serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Fatima Group. As Chief Financial Officer, she is responsible for a conglomerate of thriving organizations across a wide range of industries including shipping, warehousing, tourism, and media in the US and the Caribbean. Most recently, Tamara was instrumental in securing a $34 million dollar Marriott International hotel project in Haiti. Tamara also has been involved in a technology project that will make a huge impact in the community as the development lead for With My Doc – a remote patient monitoring device- the only one to offer services in three languages – English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Tamara is a member of the Latin American and Caribbean Business Forum at the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center (LACC) at Florida International University. Serving as a board member on several organizations such as Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center and Junior Achievement of South Florida, Tamara contributes her time focusing on areas including strengthening South Florida's Haitian and Caribbean community, breast cancer research, and creating diverse and inclusive initiatives for young adults and women.
