Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer | Office of Human Capital

Nakia Burton is Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) of the Office of Human Capital (OHC). Mrs. Burton is responsible for assisting the CHCO in developing, implementing, and executing an effective and efficient Human Capital program throughout EXIM and EXIM-OIG. She is also responsible for providing oversight of day-to-day operations of the human resources programs and the work of human capital professionals.

Before joining EXIM Bank in 2014, Mrs. Burton worked at the U.S. Department of Energy under their Student Career Experience Program (SCEP), where she received her Bachelor of Science in HR Management from Strayer University in 2011. In September 2020, Mrs. Burton was appointed as Deputy CHCO of OHC.

Nakia has over 15 years of federal Human Resources experience, in the areas of Staffing/Recruitment, Payroll, Executive Resources, Information Systems, Payroll, Reporting & Data, Position Management and Classification.
