Senior Vice President | Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs

Ben Widness serves as Senior Vice President for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Export-Import Bank of the United States, where he and his team manage agency relationships with the United States Congress and with state and local officials. Before joining EXIM, Mr. Widness served as Senate Division Chief in USAID’s Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs, where he developed and implemented Senate outreach strategy and managed USAID’s humanitarian response and food security agenda on Capitol Hill. Mr. Widness previously spent more than thirteen years as a congressional staff member, including nearly a decade as a senior national security advisor. He holds a B.A. in international studies from American University and an M.A. in international relations from Yale University.
