Venkee Sharma has been at the helm of Aquatech for more than 30 years. In this time, the company has transformed from a small, regional manufacturer of industrial water treatment equipment to a recognized and respected major player in the global water industry. When Venkee took over as CEO of the company, Aquatech was a small local player and had fewer than 50 employees in one location. Today, Aquatech is a Leader in the Global Water Industry with over 1000 employees in 6 major locations /subsidiaries worldwide. A Chemical Engineer by education, Venkee has worked, at some point, in almost every skill area in the company. Under his leadership, Aquatech has grown to a global technology and services powerhouse, and the largest private company in its space. He believes in speed & simplicity, focus & discipline to drive growth and continuous improvement. He is very growth oriented, but strives for balance with family values, an unassuming demeanor, and a fiscally conscious business approach. Aquatech is a global leader in innovative water technology and services for the Industrial and infrastructure markets with a focus on solving water scarcity and sustainability challenges through desalination, water reuse, wastewater treatment and zero liquid discharge. Aquatech has over 2000 major facility installations in over 60 countries. Aquatech’s Technology has been growing fast in markets such as EV/Batteries, Biofuels, Carbon Capture, Semiconductors, Data Centers and Green Hydrogen.

Aquatech has seen exciting times as it has expanded globally, added new product lines and solution offerings, acquired and developed proprietary/patented technologies and grown at an AGR of approximately >15% per year over the last 20 years. Venkee received Engineering Degrees in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He presently serves on the Board of the Allegheny Conference for Community Development and on the CIT Dean’s Advocacy Council at Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Sharma also serves as one of the CEOs representing US companies as part of the US-India CEO Forum and on the Advisory Committee of the US Ex-Im Bank.
