Biography

As CEO of Cotswold Industries and Central Textiles, James McKinnon leads his 3rd generation family textile manufacturing and converting business.

With his global perspective, the entrepreneurial-minded McKinnon is a recognized expert in fabric sourcing, supply chain, apparel manufacturing and textile product testing and certification. His career has focused primarily on innovations in textile process engineering and optimization with a highlight on developing products that drive value through sustainability.

McKinnon served as a delegate to the National Cotton Council from 2014 to 2022. He currently serves as a member of the National Council of Textile Organization’s (NCTO) board and is also a current member of The Cotton Board. He has also recently been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Universal Cotton Standards (2024-2026) for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). He holds a BA in Communications from Denison University.
