David White
Director of Strategic Resources | International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers
David was elevated to the Director of the IAM’s Strategic Resources Department on September 1, 2020 after serving as the Department’s Assistant Director for several years. Earlier, he joined the Machinists in March 2001 as a research economist.
David has spent his years with the IAM providing economic and financial analysis in support of negotiations, providing research in support of organizing and teaching classes at the IAM’s Educational Center. He is also active in the IAM’s corporate governance efforts.
Prior to joining the Machinists’ Union, David worked with Taft-Hartley Pension Funds advising on corporate governance matters and proxy voting while at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS).
David holds a Master’s Degree in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
David has been active in the labor movement for over 25 years.
